Vivid Life: Art Basel Miami
I say this every year, and I'll probably never stop saying it. The end of the year is not complete without taking a trip to Miami for Art Basel. It's like the perfect way to end the year celebrating other artists while at the same time keeping an eye on the prize and walking into the new year with some ideas on how you can maximize brand, presence, and defining what success looks like to you.
That might be the artist in me talking, though.
Art Basel Miami, in every other sense really has evolved (and in some ways devolved) into kind of a pick-your-own-adventure kind of experience that can lead you anywhere if you let the right people around you.
For me, this year, I kicked off as usual in Midtown for The Link Up presented by Andre Power at the Meta House. The Meta House presented exhibitions and an artist activation that not only included visual artists, but content from Meta's different platforms, specifically Instagram, that have reached peak virality in their respective lanes.

Following the initial day was Jack Daniel's Art Beats + Lyrics, taking place at Loan Depot Park in the heart of Miami. The Event included a selection of food trucks, an assortment of Jack Daniels flavors available at multiple bars, and closed out with a hit performance by Grammy Award-winning artist, Ceelo Green.
