[Video] First Look: The Tourist II

Vlog and Music Video Merge To Give You a First Look and Listen to "The Tourist II"

During the November 29th live stream, The Four-Hour Stream Event, I debuted a a brand new visual that had been in my back pocket for some time now. "The Tourist" has been catching wind at a number of different open mic events, a song I've been performing now for just over a year in and out of Tampa. Most notably, a performance at Orlando's New Peace Monday has been one of the best soundbites for the song, gaining it good traction and ears as one of my best new pieces so far.

It's a step away from the choppy and gritty sounds of The Perfectionist, and I think that's something I can appreciate in this piece. Originally written long before I visited LA, Key West, or pulled up to Chicago, "The Tourist II" was originally intended to be a jingle for my brother, Dub Davis' website, Everywhere But Somewhere. When my writing took off during the pandemic, I decided to patch together some lyrics and went in on a recording session while stuck in my apartment with COVID, birthing a song that I fully intended to be representative of wanderlust, love, a love for travel, and that joy of companionship in travel.

As the name suggests, there's another song titled, "The Tourist" as well, and I've been asked if these songs and music videos suggest that I'm working on a musical project. During the pandemic, as suggested in my video, My Real Vivid Life: The Preface is the End II, I wrote over 75 songs and have juggled around the idea of committing to creating something more than just pop-up videos that feed my portfolio. Yes is the short answer.

Now that sound has a visual to accompany it, taking you back to the adventure to Joshua Tree and the follow-up partying at Soulection's Link Up in Los Angeles on Dec. 18th, 2022.

During The Four-Hour Stream Event, I discuss making a bigger vision for this song a reality, and possibly shooting an official music video for this.

What do you think? What do you think should be included in a video for "The Tourist II"?
