Tune In: The Four-Hour Stream Event

Ahead of End-of-Year Fun and Art Basel, Join Me For My Longest Stream Yet: The Four-Hour Stream Event on YouTube, Twitch.

I AM ALEX AUGUSTE has gone through some changes lately, and I can attribute some changes to new inspiration and direction that I've caught on since my recent trip to New York City for Where Are All The Black People? as well as bigger focus for MRVL WRLD and our work as a creative agency.

The layouts different.

Some pages are new. The look and feel may feel more robust, and there's a lot more static content that will live here permanently (like my portfolio).

When it comes to connected media, though, my YouTube and Twitch Channels have been busy. As early as October 18th, streaming has been a new and growing way of connecting with me in real time. When I'm on the road and traveling, you'll notice "The Vivid Life: Live" streams dropping on my live channels, while other than that some casual chats will pop up. I should also add that there is now a featured Streams page on the website, where streaming schedules will be posted, along with actual stream videos that will live right here on the website.

So, what's the deal, right? Why streaming?

First, let's be clear: vlogs like My Real Vivid Life are not going anywhere. And you can also expect to continue seeing creative content, visuals, and new videos continuing to release to my stories, my YouTube shorts, and to my channel as a whole. But so many of those rely so heavily on the algorithm. Streaming offers a way for you to connect in real-time with me on my platforms, connecting us through conversation, topics, and taking you live and in full effect to different experiences that I am attending.

While it's unfortunate that Vivid Nights ended up being cancelled, there was a 100% chance that the entire event experience was going to be streamed via my Youtube and Twitch channels. Near or far, the experience of seeing live music and performances was going to be available for all to see.

And that's the why behind streaming.

Sidenote: Can somebody, please tell TopDog I finally admit it? According to Streamyard, revenue for streamers can range from $1500/month for small-tier streamers to $30,000/month for mid-tier streamers. It's booming. It's profitable. There, I said it.

It's reported that 53% of companies currently have some form of broadcast or livestreaming aspect as part of their business model - and there's good reason why. There's no better way to connect with audiences and have real-time engagements with the people that matter most. According to Forbes, 80% of consumers prefer to watch live brand videos over reading a blog post (I know, dawg...I know).

Since October 18th, I've gone live seven (7) times and have consistent schedules of streams coming up including the big one on November 29th.

As the name suggests, The Four-Hour Stream Event will be my longest live stream to date, inviting you to be part of the audience as we show off behind the scenes of video editing, talk through topics, and a sneak peak of the upcoming 2024 Collection of Vivid Life Apparel.

Since the stream will be part of the kick off for the upcoming Art Basel Weekend and experience, I am looking to feature a small number of guests to join me for features and a special Hot Seat Q&A as part of the program. If you're interested in being a guest, spots are limited to, but opportunities for partnerships and sponsoring the stream are available between now through Monday the 27th.

From video premieres, previews, and introducing guests and topics, The Four-Event Stream Event will have a goal of increasing awareness for MRVL WRLD projects, while giving a unique and candid behind the scenes look at the world of the head creator's seat. From metric standpoints, I'm hoping to continue to raise money for MRVL WRLD, while hitting the following stream metrics:

  • 4 Hours of Stream Time
  • 30 New Followers on Twitch (50 Total)
  • 34 New Subscribers on YouTube (100 Total)

I'm looking forward to having you onboard with this stream. If you haven't done so already, subscribe to my YouTube Channel and toggle notifications on for new, personalized video recommendations and be sure to click "Remind Me" For the upcoming stream!
