The 24 Before: The Lead Up to Purple Tears Book Launch

On February 5th, 2023, I, Too, Cry Purple Tears officially launched on-site at Brio Italian Grille in Tampa's International Plaza. Accompanied by family, friends, and colleagues, Dr. Brooke Mobley presented the book as well as giving the audience a first-read passage from the book itself, which she and I co-authored.

My latest vlog on I AM ALEX AUGUSTE Youtube breaks down the 24 hours prior to the book launch, including my own prep, and some behind the scenes points about my journey as a self-published author. Needless to say, working on I, Too, Cry Purple Tears over the course of the last two years (quietly I should add), has broken ground for me in terms of creativity, range, and understanding the impact that my work has as both an author and a storyteller.

Now with a book formally completed, and available for the world to digest, I'm extremely proud and honored by the work Dr. Mobley has done and put in, not just into this book, but also the groundwork she's doing and beginning to do for survivors in the Bay Area and, for the future, abroad.

It's really an honor to have been part of this process and project.
