Now Casting: The Perfectionist [Teaser]

As our creative season kicks off, MRVL WRLD is preparing to production for our first official visual project, Alex Auguste's "The Perfectionist". This project represents the combination of all things our company and brand represent. Bringing together writing, recording, live event coordination, and artistic developments, "The Perfectionist" is a music video and is currently wrapping ideation phase to begin casting for models for the shoot.

Production is set to begin in Tampa, Florida beginning in March and may extend into April, as well as potentially including a secondary location both in Tampa, Florida as well as in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami surrounding areas.

Conceptually, "The Perfectionist" will put a great deal of attention on contrasts between popular standards of beauty, as defined by our social media era, and the standards we each can individually identify as our own preferences. As mentioned in the spec, the concept is to display the detachment from "the version of a dream girl [a man] is given by society". For this production, we are welcoming 6 - 9 women of all body types (as long as comfortable on camera), and looking to creatively celebrate body positivity while challenging what we deem as normative displays of beauty, especially for women of color.

"The Perfectionist" is written and produced by Alex Auguste, and was initially released in 2015 as part of MyRealViciousLife under the former artist name "Mistah Marvel". It is projected to be the first of a small few original songs by Alex Auguste that will release in 2023.. The visual project associated will stand as its music video and an overall video featurette.
