7 Things We've Learned From VividLife TV in January
VividLife TV: From Stories To History, There's Been Quite A Bit Of Gems Dropped Through The Most Recent Streams On YouTube.
Since it's debut on December 13th, 2023, VividLife TV with Alex Auguste has already pumped out seven streams, including guest appearances that were scheduled like Charree Graham and DJ BrightLight, and others not so much, like when HollowRed joined me.
From casual conversations, to interviews, and even a premiere of new merchandise by Vivid Life Apparel, VividLife TV has brought a nice variety to viewers to enjoy.
There have been both a-ha moments and "oh sh*t" moments through, so let's cover 7 things we've learned in the last 7 streams of VividLife TV.
A Lot More People Have Odd Dreams and Deja Reve Than We Thought (01/03/24)
During my chat with Charree Graham of Living in Truth Counseling, we touched on the topic of deja reve, which is the opposite of deja vu, and happens when an individual is experiencing something that they've either already thought about or dreamed about. During the livestream, we've both since admitted that we thought the conversation was getting a little weird at first. It was a recap of my experience with the phenomenon while the two of us were at an Art Basel Weekend event, but interestingly enough, the audience and those in the chat were right along talking about their experiences as well.
I didn't know it was a thing. And secondly, it's always interesting how deep we all get when we start talking about visions, manifesting, and dreams.

You Can't Spell USF without US: HollowRed Talks Underground Tunnels At USF (01/17/24)
Ron, best known as HollowRed, is a multi-hyphenate creative like myself. We also happen to share experiences in Student Affairs during our time at the University of South Florida. While Ron was a Resident Assistant and I was an Orientation Team Leader, we were both exposed to background secrets at the university.
One secret I had never heard, though, was that USF has underground tunnels that connect some of the residence halls. Say what!?
If You See Snow, Maybe Don't Jump (01/10/24)
As a boy, then a guy, and then a man, it's safe to say you do dumb things around your birthday. I'm sure there's a clip out there of me tazing myself in the leg sometime around my 21st birthday in college. That's why they say men don't always live longer.
But this - this was way different. An innocent birthday trip to Colorado literally almost sent me on an Uber ride to the Pearly Gates and almost brought an abrupt end to my 31st birthday. I got to see snow for the first time, though.
Hand Over The Flower: DJ BrightLight Pioneered The R&B Vibe For Tampa
In 2010, Paul Smith and Alex Auguste took the airways as DJ BrightLight and Mistah Marvel, one half of the hosts of GoodKnocking Radio. Seven years later, he and I took to the 1's and 2's as the entertainers ushering in a new kind of vibe for Tampa. While I was the hypeman getting the groove going, the flowers belong to him when it comes to the tunes that made those nights.

Tampa History: Sometimes Dark, Sometimes Glamorized (01/31/24)
Kicking off Black History Month, Ashley Canay joined me on stream to talk about the little-known facts about Tampa's history. From Madame Fortune Taylor's millionaire status, to Bearss being pronounced BEER-S (like Pierce), and where the term "Houstonizing" came from, there's a lot to discover about Tampa. Some of it is great, and some of it, not so much.

"Netflix & Chill" Likely Started Because Early Netflix Didn't Have Good Movies on The Platform (01/17/24)
HollowRed breaks down how "Netflix & Chill" came to be. It wasn't always being grown with the movie show'n. As a matter of fact, the movie was irrelevant because Netflix's experiment with streaming movies online was still so very young, and had little to no great movie options. Yeah, might as well suck the butter off them corn kernals, I suppose.
It's Pronounced KUH-NY-GA (Still Skeptical)
That boy just needs to change his name, how bout that?
VividLife TV with Alex Auguste returns Wednesday February 21st, with a special lineup for the next 7 streams, including a guest appearance by Veronica The Explorer on February 29th.
